Ribbon Blenders for Powder Mixing

Ribbon blenders provide fast, uniform mixing of dry powders and granules with a double helical ribbon agitator that moves material both radially and laterally inside a U-shaped trough.

Built in SS 304, SS 316 or MS with GMP polish, gasketed covers and dust-tight discharge valves for pharmaceutical and chemical powder processing.

The inner and outer ribbons move material in opposite directions along the U-shaped trough, giving fast radial and axial mixing with a homogeneous batch in typically 10 to 20 minutes. Discharge is through a flush or slide valve at the trough bottom, and spray systems, jacketing and chopper blades can be added for wet mixing and lump breaking.
